What is a Dental Crown with Hylia Turkey, and How is it Applied?
The dental crown veneer process consists of two stages.
In the first stage, our specialist dentists determine whether you need any treatment in your teeth due to panoramic radiological imaging and physical examination. These procedures are performed first in case of tooth cleaning or needing treatment. Your teeth are now suitable to start the crown coating process. The teeth to which the crown veneer will apply are prepared for the veneer to sit on the tooth.
This procedure will be performed under local anesthesia, and you will not feel any pain. The first stage of your treatment may take an average of 2 to 3 hours, depending on the number of teeth crowned. Impressions of the thinned/reduced teeth are taken, and your temporary veneer is placed after the procedure.
In the second stage, your rehearsal will perform with your crown veneer prepared by the measurements taken on the first day of your treatment. Your dental crown veneer adjusts until your bite is perfect. Our dentist will stick your veneers after you are satisfied with the harmony and comfort of your veneers. This whole process takes 5-6 days.
What are the Types of Dental Crowns?
Crown veneers are among the most popular applications in terms of dental aesthetics and treatment. Crown veneers can be applied for various indications. Such as the completion of missing teeth, discolored, crooked or broken teeth, excessively abraded sensitive teeth and teeth that have lost a lot of tissue. With the development of technology and needs, crown coatings have also diversified. Dental crowns, which can be made of different materials, are not harmful to the human body and are long-lasting.
FULL CERAMIC / EMAX CROWNS
All ceramic / EMAX crowns are very close to natural teeth due to their high light transmittance. Thanks to this feature, it has a natural and aesthetic appearance. EMAX / Full ceramic crowns give excellent results, especially on anterior incisors. It is not preferred for load-bearing teeth such as molars. They are unsuitable for bridge construction in the posterior region of the mouth.
PORCELAIN – ZIRCONIUM CROWNS
Zirconium crowns are solid white metal. It is not as aesthetic as porcelain due to its low light transmittance. One essential feature of zirconium is that we can use it alone without other porcelain. This feature is a good alternative for teeth located in the back of the mouth, such as molars that carry more load. For the incisors covering the anterior part of the mouth, coatings made by applying porcelain with more light transmittance on the zirconium base are preferred. Porcelain-zirconium veneers provide a more aesthetic appearance. Porcelain-zirconium veneers, one of the most popular types of aesthetic dental crowns, are formed by applying a porcelain layer on a zirconia base.
PORCELAIN AND METAL CROWNS
Porcelain-metal crowns, one of the coating types used for many years, are made by applying porcelain on a durable metal base to provide an aesthetic appearance. Although more aesthetic alternatives replace porcelain-metal crowns with the development of coating technology, they continue to be one of the best options due to their durability.
FULL CONTOUR – ZIRCONIUM CROWNS
Zirconium crowns are considered equivalent to full ceramic crowns in many sources. Zirconia is a white metal mined in many parts of the world. Due to the difference in their primary materials, zirconium crowns should be considered in a separate category. Dentists prefer zirconium crowns with their high resistance chewing capacity, enabling their use in molars.
